Hello everyone,
On May 30th the team and I were called to a home in Princeville, Il. A
woman had just bought a home built in the 1880s and moved in with her
daughter and granddaughter. Right away, the woman began renovating the
house. And right away, she began having strange experiences.
It
started with noises and strange shadows playing on the walls and in the
hallway. During the night, the woman heard a lot of strange noises that
kept her awake. It all culminated in an experience that left the woman
terrified: she awoke one night to large black shadow standing right
next to her bed!
We
arrived at the house early in the evening and met with the owner. She
was a very nice lady who was more worried she might be going crazy than
she was about having a ghost. I walked through the house and told the
team where to set up the equipment. I didn’t feel any energy as I
walked through this first time.
The
team set up the equipment and settled in for some EVP work. I sat in
the living and discussed the experiences with the woman and her
granddaughter. I found out almost all of the experiences were happening
to the grandmother, and the granddaughter felt nothing but comfortable
in her new house. During all of this time, I still did not feel any
energy in the house.
After
awhile, I called the team up. Most of them had seen shadows and heard
noises that were similar to what the woman had described, but all of
them were very explainable. Passing cars had created many shadows and
the old house creaking in the wind and settling as the sun faded had
created all of the seemingly paranormal events. And none of the
handheld equipment, the EMF meters, ambient thermometers, and cameras,
had hit on anything unusual. Just to be sure, I did one final walk
through the entire house. The house was spiritless.
As I broke the news to the woman, she was at first happy but then lamented that she must
be going crazy then. I explained to her that many people have similar
experiences when they move into a new house, especially one as old as
that one. And once she learned the causes of each experience, how they
had actually happened but just weren’t paranormal, she began to see the
light, so to speak. I told her she was now free to enjoy her new home
without worrying about what is lurking in the shadows, because I knew
there was nothing in them.
Finding out that your house is not
haunted is a good thing, and rarely does it mean you are going crazy.
Every event has an explanation, whether normal or paranormal, so it is
always a good idea to check things thoroughly. That is why, even though
I didn’t feel any energy, I still had the team conduct an
investigation. That way we were able to give the woman peace of mind.

Hello again,
It has been
busy and exciting since my trip to Texas earlier this month. I want to
thank everyone who has invited me on their radio show: Kris an Mike
Baker at Crossroads Paranormal, Captain Jack, Marla Brooks, and Tim
Weisberg. I had a great time with all of them! Be sure to visit their
sites for upcoming shows.
The Texas trip was a success, you can read my full account here. I
want to thank everyone who made the trip, Terrance, Brad, Frank, Bill,
Emily and Misty, and everyone who made the trip possible. Together, we
all helped a woman get her home, and her life, back to normal. For the month of June I have a few things in the works but nothing definite yet. Check the website for any updates. Thanks for checking in!Rob

Hello everyone,I am starting this new feature to let
everyone know what is going on in my world on a weekly basis. I will also use
this feature to answer some of your general questions about the paranormal
world and my role in it. So if you have any questions, please email them to
me.I was disappointed to find out that my first out-of-state
convention appearance has been canceled. They actually canceled the entire
convention! There will be no East Central Indiana Paranormal Conference in
July. Hopefully they will be able to reschedule, but it doesn't look good for
now.I have been keeping busy with local ghost cases though. Most
recently I did a house out in the country that was haunted by several spirits.
Not only was it a 160+ year old farmhouse, but there had also been a
schoolhouse nearby that burned down decades ago. The spirits in the house were
previous residents of the house, students who perished in the fire, and their
school teacher. I was very happy to see them all walk through the light and
find peace, and in doing so give the young family who lives there now some
peace of their own. I also did a home where a small child was being
tormented by a dark spirit that did not like to let her sleep. Mom and dad had
also had their share of run-ins with the spirit and all in the house were
frightened, and ready for the spirit to leave. The spirit was not very
cooperative at first, but soon realized that he would be leaving one way or the
other. The child is now able to sleep through the night and the house is their
home once again.I have also been working on a case in the great state
of Texas and will hopefully be traveling there soon. The woman who lives in
this house has believed it to be haunted for years. Recently, she had a high
profile investigative team come in and they verified she was right, and not going crazy. However,
the spirit remains. She contacted me with the hope that I could come down and
get the spirit to leave so she will not have to move or worry about actually going
crazy. I intend to to help her on all counts. That's it for me this
week. I invite you to email with me any of your thoughts, questions, or
concerns dealing with the paranormal. I will try to answer each one and may
even post my response in the website.Thank you,Rob Conover
